Dear HAY Families,
We would first like to welcome each and every student and their families to our amazing school. The entire staff here at HAY possesses an incredible dedication to all of our students. We truly look at each child in our charge as if they were our own. Please know that every decision we make is ALWAYS in the best interest of the whole child, whether it be academically, emotionally, or socially. Your child will be safe, cared for, and taught in the most engaging, empowering, and relevant learning experiences that will prepare them well for their future.
The building of relationships is fundamental to our mission at the Yelle School. Our staff has a clear understanding of the connection between a positive learning environment and student academic success. Our mission speaks to providing support and guidance as our students transition from childhood to adolescence. Teachers and support staff work diligently to cultivate a healthy and safe school where students are valued and respected. The three core concepts of our school are respect, responsibility, and safety. We have eight classes at both the fourth and fifth grade level. Each student has classes in the core subjects, as well as art, technology, music, and physical education.
On an academic and social level, the goal at HAY is to bring parents into the school for a multitude of different events. Academically, we will hold parent curriculum nights in addition to our open house and parent conferences. Socially, in conjunction with our fantastic PTO, HAY will be hosting many different family-oriented events at school. These are phenomenal ways to engage parents and students in taking pride in our school and learning more about it, while also serving as a fantastic means of bringing families and the school together. The PTO will be holding their meetings on the third Tuesday of every month in our library from 6:30-7:30 P.M. All are welcome to attend.
The HAY prides itself on being a first-class academic environment. We welcome you all to become truly invested in the culture we have here. Everyone on our staff makes your children their top priority.
Please stay in contact with the HAY through this website and our @HAYSchoolNorton Twitter feed. There is so much to learn, get excited for, and happening at the HAY!
